Guidance for the first time

Displays a guidance dialog for beginners. This is the same as what you see when you first launch Metasequoia.

If you check [Show this guidance again at the next start] on the lower left, this guidance will be displayed when you restart the software.

About

It shows the version or the copyright of Metasequoia.

About Plug-ins (for Standard/EX editions)

It shows the information on Plug-ins and installs the new Plug-ins.

Error Window

It shows error messages in case the illegal Plug-ins is read or some error has occurred.

Benchmark (for Standard/EX editions)

It measures the number of drawing sheets per second.

It can confirm which set-up makes a faster view. As the measuring is not so accurate, it is not so effective to use for the comparison with that of other hardware.

It displays the official web site metaseq.net.

Update check

It checks update information from the Internet.

License authentication

It inputs a serial ID and password that you purchased. It is necessary for removing restrictions on operation.

Please confirm the following items if the license authentication fails:

• Please confirm each character; like '0' and 'O'.
• Administrator authentication may be required. Please run Metasequoia by [Run as Administrator] in the right-click menu on a start menu or a desktop icon.
• Security software may disturb the license authentication. Please switch it off temporarily.
• A license for Metasequoia 4 is required. A license for old versions of Metasequoia is not available. Please purchase a license for version up.
